Early Interventionist

General term used for a person who works with infants and young children-who have developmental delays, disabilities, or are at risk of developmental problems- and their families. Early interventionists may have different kinds of professional training (for example, in speech/language pathology, or nursing), but they all have work experience and special training in helping young children and their families.
