Physical Therapist

A pediatric physical therapist is a professional trained in assessing and providing therapy for young children. In a developmental assessment, the physical therapist would assess the ability and quality of the child's use of her legs, arms, and complete body by encouraging the display of specific motor tasks as well as by observing the child in play. Physical therapists (PTs), in general, help to restore function, improve mobility and relieve pain. Their goal is to promote overall fitness and health.
